Spend a weekend this summer in the beautiful gulf islands and celebrate us getting married!

We’re incredibly excited to be coming back to Canada to celebrate with our closest friends and family and we look forward to an amazing weekend with you all!

When: August 21st - August 23rd
Where: Galiano Island

We know a summer weekend is a lot of ask of people so we’ve tried to pack as much fun into all 3 days as possible!

Friday

We are taking the 10:20am ferry and arriving at the venue at around noon. We will have a picnic, a few drinks and hang out in the sun until we can check into our cabins at 3pm.

At 6pm we will host a Welcome BBQ for everyone and spend the night hanging out on the deck, under the stars.

Saturday

Wedding day! We are planning on doing a fun activity together in the morning but there are also kayak and SUP rentals on the island as well as hikes in the provincial park if you want to explore at bit.

Our ceremony will start at 4pm, followed by cocktails and canapés. We will take a few pictures and then host a locally sourced, west-coast inspired dinner, designed by some of the chefs from our favourite restaurant, Chambar!

Following dinner, we will have live music, dancing, drinks and more!

Sunday

Following the big day, we will host a boozy brunch at 9am, for everyone that can make it out of bed!

Check out is at 11am. From there, we are planning on hanging out on Galiano until the 5:30pm ferry. There is also a 12:30pm ferry if you need to get going earlier.

We’ve found an amazing place to spend the weekend on Galiano: Bodega Ridge

The resort is seven self-contained log cabins and a lodge on 22 beautiful acres of rural countryside at the island’s quiet north end. The property offers magnificent views of Trincomali channel, the surrounding Gulf Islands and the Vancouver Island Mountains.

You’ll be staying in one of their incredible 3 bedroom cabins. Each cabin has its own deck, full kitchen, log fireplace, and BBQ… and you’ll be sharing them with some really great people! The cabins are $300 / night, shared between the 3 rooms.

A few of the meals on the weekend will be provided:

The food for Friday night’s BBQ, dinner and drinks all Saturday night, and the food for Sunday morning’s breakfast. The venue has a full bar of wine, beer on tap, and cocktails, stocked with some of our favourites! Saturday night will be an open bar and you can charge drinks to your rooms for the BBQ and brunch.

Outside of the above meals, you can bring your own food and booze. Each cabin has a full kitchen and their own BBQ… you might want to get together with your cabin roommates for Friday’s lunch, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and any snacks or hangover cures you might need!

Summer wedding attire! For Saturday night, dress to impress but it will be hot and outdoors so make sure to bring something you’ll be comfortable in.

Suits or jackets and slacks, ties optional. Party or summer dresses and sensible shoes for dancing!

The ceremony site is a 5 minute walk on a gravel path away, so make sure to bring something appropriate for the outdoor setting. Dinner will be outside under a tent so bring a light sweater incase it gets chilly at night.

Anything goes for the rest of the weekend! The beach is close so you might want to bring a bathing suit.

Due to the cost of the room, ferry, and the extra food and alcohol, we’re asking people not to bring wedding presents.
